Exciting & Complex

The new Frauenthal website needed to showcase the exciting things the organization is constantly a part of: hosting a spectrum of theatre and live music events, providing beautiful spaces for hosted weddings and other events, as well as exhibiting curated art galleries for public viewing. The design needed to marry the existing branding with an energetic display of the many offerings, while ensuring UI/UX principles were fully intact.

A complex event system; a simple user interaction

In the design phase, we worked to organize the range of event offerings into a sensible list of categories, broken up by series and event type. The Frauenthal Center's website's event section needed a lot of custom development to achieve the functionality objectives: The multi-level filtering system, a date-range selector that tied in with the date fields of each event, a unique template for each event type, customized backend fields to house each event detail, use of a cookie to remember a user's filter selection - to name a few. Achieving the programming-heavy features while maintaining a clean, organized and user-friendly interaction was not your average feat, needless to say.

An special menu for a special lady - lol

The Frauenthal website's main menu and navigation was set up to be simple, clean, organized, elegant, and focused on both the main objectives of the organization and the user experience. When closed, the navigation presented quick access to the Frauenthal's box office, as well as a speedy avenue to the ways of supporting the Frauenthal Center. When opened, an off-canvas menu needed to provide an organized index-style list of the multiple places a user might need and want to go. The footer  also was set up with similar styling, while ensuring the marquee image was intricately positioned across screen sizes. Seems like a success to us - check out the Frauenthal Center's website here.
